Changes: In 1987
Barbara Davis set out to WOW the women of Calgary by
offering outstanding customer service and a huge selection of new
and like-new designer fashions. She got stores
and designers to clear all of their samples and overruns through
her along with promoting consignment as a wonderful way for women
to sell their high end clothing that they can only be seen in once!
Not many people
understood what "consignment" meant when Barbara started out, so
she was a true trailblazer in visioning a business that could
provide outstanding service, amazing labels of new and like-new
designer trends for a fraction of the original price.
In September,
1997, Rhonda Davis started Changes Vancouver where she has
the same commitment to giving outstanding customer service, along
with an amazing selection of new and like-new designer trends for
less! Both stores have a jewellery bar that sparkles for
every season with designs made by local and Canadian jewellery
artists.
Rhonda has been
awarded Vancouver's BEST Consignment Store Award for 2002,
2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, & 2008. Rhonda has
also been nominated forRetailer of the year (2005)
and a YWCA Woman of Distinction in Business Award
(2005).
Both Stores aim
to make the world a more shiny, stylish, empowered, and
healthier place. Rhonda & Barbara donate
generously through their businesses and raise money for many
charities through their annual fashion show events.
We
are dedicated to rocking re re-sale world and to showing how
businesses can create a win-win for the earth,our community,
customers, staff, Shadow and ourselves. Changes
